Standing for HIV. Equality and Rights, the HERO Awards is an annual fundraising event to acknowledge the region’s LGBTQI communities and outstanding service to the HIV/AIDS response in Asia and the Pacific. This year we had the award ceremony under the theme “Unity & Diversity” on 25 November. Besides meeting so many amazing people from all around the world and hearing insightful speeches from the awardees who dedicated themselves to LGBTQI and HIV communities, I also enjoyed drag shows, mini-concerts, and fashion shows. It was such an eventful evening.
